Garden Design

Redesigning a garden or part of a garden can seem a daunting process; I’m here to guide you through it.

  • The design process starts with an initial meeting, during this we will discuss what you want from your garden, your likes and also just as important, what you dislike.
  • After an initial site survey, I will draw a scaled Master Plan of your garden showing boundaries, surfaces – patios, lawns, planting and existing features.
  • From this I can create Concept Plans; which show the bones of your new garden with the relative positions of surfaces, features, structures and planting. At this point we will meet to discuss the concepts.
  • Once a final concept has been agreed I can then prepare a scaled and annotated Outline Plan of your new garden.
  • The final part of the design process is the Planting Plan; which takes into account the gardens aspect, soil type and your planting  preferences. A Plant Schedule will list the plants, quantities and size required.

The planting is the” Icing on the cake”; which brings the whole design together and brings your garden to life.
